CROI 2012 SEATTLE

Seen in Seattle
Between presentations and networking meetings, there really wasn’t time for sightseeing while attending the 19th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunisitic Infections. Still, Seattle’s beauty and charm are inescapable. Brief excursions through downtown led to the famous open-air Pike Place Market and the graffiti of nearby Post Alley. A number of eye-catching storefronts caught conference-goers’ attention, including the original Starbucks, which opened in 1971. With its own distinctly classic style, Tiffany & Co. stands out. And in a city known for its unique culture and aesthetic, the Seattle Public Library makes a modern statement on the place of design in society.
