Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine’s Division of Infectious Diseases, and Associate Director of the Johns Hopkins AIDS Service, Dr. Gallant is author of the book 100 Questions & Answers About HIV and AIDS. Dr. Gallant has served on advisory boards or as a paid consultant to Bristol-Myers Squibb, Gilead Sciences, Merck & Co., Janssen Therapeutics, and ViiV Healthcare. He serves on Data Safety Monitoring Boards for Gilead and Sangamo Biosciences. Gilead has awarded grants for clinical trials conducted by Dr. Gallant.
Renata Smith
PHARMACIST
A clinical assistant professor in HIV/Infectious Diseases at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Renata Smith, PharmD, has specialized in HIV patient care for the past 15 years in the university’s hospital and clinics. Renata received her PharmD from UIC, followed by advanced training in infectious diseases and HIV. She practices at several of UIC’s outreach clinics and teaches at the school’s College of Pharmacy of the University of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Dentistry.

As director of public policy at Broward House in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Joey Wynn works directly with clients. Broward House is the oldest and largest HIV service organization in Broward County, providing housing services, primary medical care, substance use recovery, mental health, and social services. In his 20 years of work devoted to people with HI V/AIDS, Joey served 14 years on the Florida AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) working group and is currently on the Board of Directors for the National ADAP Advocacy Association (aaa+) in Washington, D.C.
